   The firm began in 1980, as a satellite office of the John C. Muse Co. of Sanford, North Carolina. In 1982, Jack Honeycutt, who was then manager of the Farmville office, purchased the office from the John C. Muse Co. and began practicing as Jack O. Honeycutt CPA. In 1987, Dennis Thorne became a shareholder and the firm name was changed to Honeycutt & Thorne CPAs P.C. In 2003, William McGuire became a shareholder and the name was changed to Honeycutt, Thorne & McGuire CPAs P.C. In 2006, Dennis Thorne retired from public accounting and the firm name was changed to Honeycutt & McGuire CPA’s P.C.
